I know I’m a little late posting pictures of this aisle runner, but I was able to get another glimpse of it when I helped to coordinate a romantic rooftop anniversary dinner for the couple a year after I made this for their wedding!

Red & Black Aisle Runner, The Hotel Del | May 2013

Apple red cursive “L” with crisp black font for the Bride & Groom’s names as well as the date. This aisle runner was rolled out for the entrance into the reception area at the Crown Room at The Hotel Del. Guests entered on the aisle runner through hand-made black curtains draped with hanging iridescent crystals.

This Bride & Groom had the neatest idea of lining the vases with lemons from their family’s restaurant. Blue & yellow were their colors, and lemons helped make that happen! We did the arrangements in one vase, then put that inside of a second vase and then arranged the lemon slices around the flowers. The bride’s bouquet was made of ivory roses, bright yellow callas, and sprayed carnations to bring the pop of blue.

Susan & Dan got married on the beach at the Catamaran in Pacific Beach. It couldn’t have been more perfect weather for an outdoor ceremony. The escort cards were such a cute idea strung along wire inside of a picture frame, and looked elegant on the escort table, which was sweetly devoted to honoring the groom’s father. The night went smoothly with a wonderfully served dinner with multiple courses, lined out for guests on menu cards tucked into their napkins. Guests enjoyed the bay view from out the Aviary Room windows and danced the night away.

Green Gables | April 12, 2013

This wedding took place at Green Gables Estate in San Marcos. I liked how the couple wanted to have the ceremony take place on the steps of the old schoolhouse, rather than under the gazebo where most have it. We made two fifteen feet long baby’s breath garlands to drape along the railings of the steps and over the archway. The tall centerpieces incorporated hydrangeas and hanging amaranthus on top of trumpet vases with purple dyed water. It was a gorgeous day for a schoolhouse wedding!

Jennifer & Evan got married at Admiral Kidd surrounded by purples The bridesmaids wore purple satin dresses which looked great with the lavender and purple calla bouquets. I thought the crystals hanging behind the material on the archway were a special touch and couldn’t resist adding a heart brooch to the bride’s ribbon-wrapped stems of her bouquet!

When I met this couple over a year ago, I knew that working with them was going to be a blast. They had so many fun, creative ideas that I couldn’t wait to get started bringing to life. We did a custom painted aisle runner to make their reception entrance grand, hand made dirt bike jersey escort cards, crafty chalkboards and florals The ceremony took place on a gorgeous Saturday day on the beachfront of the Hotel Del on Coronado island. Guests then meandered over to the cocktail hour and reception in the Crown Room (fit with crown shaped chandeliers) where they were greeted with trays of champagne glasses. I had fun making all of the floral arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres and had the most fun getting to know this very special couple! Congratulations to them

Anniversary Dinner | April 2013

We coordinated & did the floral arrangements for these two a year ago in April, and were thrilled when we were contacted to be a part of their one year anniversary dinner! Their custom painted aisle runner was brought out and hung up as a backdrop to their private dinner table for two. Peacock feathers were incorporated every which way, a reminder of their wedding theme. This couple is truly special to me and I couldn’t have been happier to be involved in their one-year anniversary celebration

Grand Colonial Rooftop Wedding | March 3, 2013

We were contacted to do a small, San Diego destination wedding at the Grand Colonial Hotel in La Jolla. With the floral design, we also helped the bride with her vision of draping material along the railings of the rooftop to create a softer, romantic, intimate atmosphere. We laid down an aisle runner with peach rose petals scattered along it, which led the eye to a panoramic ocean view behind the bride and groom.

For this wedding I got to visit a new venue: Bandy Canyon Ranch! This wedding was the third this location has held, and I was so excited to be a part of it. The space was huge, with horse stalls right outside the parking area, a wooden bridge over a creek and strung lights over the reception area; needless to say, it went hand-in-hand with the Rustic theme of the ceremony & reception. The bride loved the purple and white flower combinations and even wore purple Toms under her gown! Guests had fun answering trivia questions about the newlyweds and dancing the night away, and were even surprised with a choreographed dance from the Mr. & Mrs!
